After hard work and a lot of waiting Bubba Two is finally shipping. First, we have a lot of pre-orders to attend to, but within a few days, the shop will open for regular orders. In the beginning with longer delivery times, but we expect to be up to pace within 2-3 weeks.

..together with our new product, BUBBA|TWO! Following up the success with our BUBBA|SERVER, we have listened to customer requests and improved this product to meet your high demands. However, the good old BUBBA|SERVER is still available, at a lower price for those not requiring the added features. Main differences are:

• Higher performance
• New design
• Dual gigabit network ports - making BUBBA|TWO a router as well
• Optional WiFi access point (not available yet, upgrade kits can be purchased later on)
• Up to 1 TB internal storage
• eSATA and high speed USB 2.0 for better storage expansion

The British magazine Linux Format has reviewed the Bubba server in the current issue (104), giving it their "TOP STUFF" award. They say:

The Bubba is essentially an infineitely modifiable NAS. You could never use it for anything processor-intensive, with movie and music transcodig (for example) out of the question. But that is missing the point. If you currently run an old PC at home as a simple server, the Bubba is a quiet and cost-effective replacement that would pay for itself in electricity savings after a year or two. It's almost as flexible as a PC, and you can spend hours playing with the configuration and adding new software. That's why the Bubba is a real winner.

One of our skilled and dedicated users - Johan Stenarsson - has contributed with this nice plugin, allowing you to just right click on torrents and choose "Add to Bubba downloads" to immediately start the download. You can also very easy keep track of you ongoing downloads directly from Firefox. Very useful!
